San Francisco Airship Tour
Soar over San Francisco It's the City by the Bay, often partially veiled by the eerie fog, but beautiful at sunrise, noon, sunset and truly sparkling at night! From the air you can see how the Painted Ladies hug the hillsides and the downtown skyscrapers frame Fisherman's Wharf. Fortunately the seals aren't quite so "fragrant" from your vantage point at 1000 feet up aboard a genuine airship! On your way out to the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, you'll see the construction of the Bay Bridge and the immense cranes of the Port of Oakland. While the classic sights are appealing, containers lined up like Lego bricks, or even traffic jams at the toll plaza, provide something unexpected and mind expanding. The sun dances across the waterfront towns of Sausalito and Tiburon, and catches the vivid colors of the sailboats out on the Bay. The ferry churns the water as it docks at the Ferry Building, people disembarking into the crowded Farmers Market. You gaze down on Golden Gate Park at the humanity below. Do they have flowers in their hair? You're guaranteed to leave your heart onboard the Zeppelin, if not in San Francisco! This tour requires a minimum number of passengers in order to depart. It's recommended you be flexible with your schedule as there may be some wait time necessary to fill the maximum number required. If your preferred time of day and/or date are not yet guaranteed, you may be contacted with options for alternate guaranteed flights.
Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final. Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center. Oakland North Air Field What's it like? "Eureka" means "I've found it" and from the reactions of our guests, that would seem to be the sentiment that captures the unique experience of flying on the Zeppelin "Eureka." Others have described it as a "personal cloud" or "knowing what birds feel like." For some, its much quieter than they were expecting, a smoother ride, more comfortable. For everyone, it's over far too quickly! Cruising at around 1300 feet, you are high enough to be non-intrusive, but low enough to see amazing details. Your speed is around 35 mph, which is a stately and serene speed to view the world. Take off and landing are very rapid and you are only in your seat for the minute or so it takes us to reach cruising altitude. Surrounded by huge windows, two of which open, with the comforts of leather seating and an onboard restroom, this is a real skybox! 48 HOURS MINIMUM ADVANCE BOOKING REQUIRED.
